I have recently got something stolen from me
Not something you can hold in your hand
Or something you can put on your shelf
But a friend
A best friend
And within a year she was gone in a blink of an eye
some might say a year is a lot, and so it is
But when you have a friend by your side to make it worth while
It is short
Memorable
But short
And let me tell you that when it ended
Tears flood
She says we'll stay in touch
But we all know that wont last long
I love her with all my heart
I'm not ready to leave her yet
Goes to show not everything can stay
And even the brightest of stars must die out some day
